The game of Texas Hold’em can be very fun, and exciting if you have knowledge of the game and its rules. Understanding the rules of this game will help you to be able to decide what to do with your hand. First of all you should know that this game is played with a regular 52 card deck that is shuffled between each game to ensure that nobody could possibly be cheating. You should also know that the game is played by using two hole cards and five community cards, all of the cards are used to make the best  five card poker hand.

The game is going to start off with the two players to the left of the dealer. These two players positions are called the blinds. What these players do is called posting the blinds, which means that they put some money into the pot to make sure that there is something to play for. The blinds are categorized as the small blind and the big blind. The small blind is when the player puts up half of the minimum bet and the big blind puts up the entire amount of the minimum bet.

After the blinds have been put up the first two cards are dealt to each player. These are known as the players hole cards, they are kept face down in front of the player so no one can see them except for the player themselves. Now the first round of betting takes place, in this round the betting starts with the player to the left of the blind, players can bet, raise or call in this round of betting. After the first round of betting the Flop is put out on the table, these are the first of the five community cards, they are laid face up on the table so that all of the players can see them and use them to complete their hands. After the Flop another round of betting takes place and from this round on players can bet, raise, fold, call or check. Now the Fourth Street or the Turn is put out on the table, this card makes the fourth community card. The Fifth Street or The River is the final community card. After this there is a final round of betting and then the winner is decided depending on which players are left or which players have the best hand.

The best thing that you can do when you are playing Texas Hold’em is to pay attention to the game. It doesn’t even matter whether you are playing in that particular round or not, if you pay attention to what is going on and how the players are handling the certain hands that they have you can make yourself a much better player because you will be able to foresee what that player is going to do with any given hand. By knowing this and the rules of the game as laid out above you will be able to play a great game and have pretty good odds of winning your hand and some good money.
