The object of this game is to make the best possible five card high hand and best five card low hand using two hole cards and three board cards. If there is no qualifying low hand then the player with the best high hand wins the whole pot. The lowest possible qualifying hand is A2345, and the highest is 87654. Okay to start off there are blinds in this game just like in Texas Hold’em, these are forced bets and there are always two of them. There is a small blind which has to be half of the minimum bet and the big blind which has to bet the full amount of the minimum bet before the game can even start. The person to the left of the dealer has to make the small blind and the person to the left of that person has to make the big blind. These two bets counts to the players first round bet, and these bets are considered live which means that these players can raise the pot at any time even if nobody else has. Now on to the betting rounds, in Omaha Hi-Lo there are four rounds of betting, in the first two betting rounds all bets must be equal to the size of the low limit bet, in the last two rounds all bets must be equal to the high limit bet. To make this easier to understand, if you are betting in the first two rounds all of the bets would be in increments of 3 dollars and the second two rounds would all be in increments of 6 dollars if you were playing 3-6 Omaha Hi-Lo.
