Last 9 duke it out at WSOP

All online poker players have there eyes on the last table at this year's World Series of Poker. As promised, we are keeping you updated on the latest events of the poker game right here at Online Poker Reviewer.

Yesterday was quite a day. Full of drama, the event saw the elimination of Phil Ivey, Greg Fossilman Raymer,  and notably, the last female left Tiffany Williamson. Her exit last night left all online poker female fans left without hope of a women winning this year.

After a 12 hour marathon poker playing day, only the 9 remaining players will be playing today. Each of the 9 players left will all take home at learst $1 million dollars. Not bad for playing poker. Even better, the last man standing will leave a cool $7.5 million richer. This is a record for the highest amount paid for the 36 year old poker event.

This year's WSOP has acquired a big online poker player following, with more online poker players in the event than ever before. 

With yesterdays upset of ousting Raymer, 2004 WSOP champ, today promises even more drama and excitement.

At the end of the long day of poker playing, we saw a total of 18 players leave the tournament. Here is the list of the final 9 players fighting hard for the championship:

1. Aaron Kanter is in the best position with $10.7 million.

2. Tex Barch is next with $9.3 million.

3. Andrew Black has a respectable $8.1 million in front of him.

4. Then we have Mike Matusow, AKA The Mouth with $7.4 million.

5. Steven Dannenmann  still has $5.4 million.

6. Also hanging on to $5.4 million -  we have Joseph Hachem.

7. Then you have Daniel Bergsdorf, he is holding on to $5.2 million.

8. Scott Lazar has $3.3 million.

9. Brad Kondracki is still afloat with $1.1 million in chips stacked in front of him.
