Williamhillpoker.com to sponsor European Poker Awards

Williamhillpoker, a great place for online poker fans to play, has announced its new sponsorship of the 2005 European Poker Awards and the European Ranking Awards. The highly regarded awards will be hosted at  the ACF Club in Paris this time. The ceremony will happen on January 8, 2006. We believe that it's always nice to see online poker rooms s getting involved with sponsorship of land based gambling industry events.

The European Ranking Prizes will be given-out in the categories of Omaha Poker, Stud Poker and Texas Holdem Poker. In addition to those categories, the overall ranking winner and runner-up will also be awarded.

The European Poker Awards will be handed-out for Rookie of the Year, Card Room Staff Person of the Year, Tournament Performance of the Year, Player of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award .

This year's event will be hosted by Poker 425 presenter Dave Compo Compton of Poker 425. It is being taped for a later showing to be aired on Poker 425 a few days later.

Many online poker players will be watching in that part of the world.
